These RPT devices make changing the working tools of an excavator a quick and easy process.
If you are using this device combined with various types of buckets & attachments, you will be able to offer a wide variety of work. As a result, you will then be able to implement many contracts at lower costs and and with reduced labour requirements on the part of the machine operators.
Technical description
The RPT quick coupler is used to provide service for excavators within the weight range of 14-35 MT; they are supplied optionally in both hydraulic and mechanical models.
The attachment is permanently locked in place during operation by a pair of pins seated in female friction cones (bushings). The tapered joint ensures the exact seating and clearance adjustment of the joint. The applied mechanical principle, as well as the overall rigidity of the system all make quick couplers ideal for heavy-duty applications. Such an application is suited for excavators operating hydraulic hammers.
The hydraulic quick coupler operation is remotely operated from the operator’s cabin, thus changing the attachment will not required the operator to leave the cabin. The very joint of the holding device is handled optionally by an electrically-controlled valve or by the machine’s hydraulic system – subject to the number of hydraulic circuits used & their operating destination. Hydraulic quick-acting couplers are fitted on either side of the quick coupler to service the attachments
The mechanically controlled bucket mounting is remotely controlled from the operator’s cabin. The bucket is unclamped manually by the operator using a rod tool.
